Maria Munday was welcomed in post as Business Manager of Malvern Special Families at the beginning of March 2015. Maria has overall responsibility for managing the organisation with a focus on the strategic direction of the charity. This includes making sure we have all the funding available to run our existing services, and for developing new services in the future. Maria has responsibility for monitoring of our contracts and different funding streams, building up relationships with key stakeholders and developing positive relationships with all of our community fundraisers.
Before rejoining Malvern Special Families this month, Maria had been doing some consultancy work and working with Worcester University on their Nursing Studies & Social Work programmes; using her experiences as a parent/carer to inform better working practices with service users. Maria has a 15 year old son with Prader Willi syndrome, ASD & complex needs who used to come to some of our clubs over the years.
Maria is planning visits to some of our activities very soon and is looking forward to meeting you all.
Maria will be in the office at Prospect View on Monday- Wednesday 9am-5pm.
After 4 years at Malvern Special Families, Philippa Barton has left the post of manager at the end of January 2015. On behalf of all the families and staff team at Malvern Special Families we thank her for all her hard work and wish her well for the future.
