A bit of time, creativity and using the influence of your personal networks you will be amazed at how quickly you can multiply what you contribute to MSF by organising a fundraising event or activity. In the past, friends of MSF have organised jumble sales, fun-runs, drawing competitions, an open gardens event, a charity auction, in aid of Malvern Special Families. If you have an idea that you would like to bring to reality, we would love to hear from you and talk it through and we can offer you support and advice to help get your idea off the ground.
Set yourself a challenge and get your friends involved. However, big or small the challenge, whether it’s sporty or crafty, in a group or on your own, sponsored events are a great way to have fun whilst raising money for Malvern Special Families and even achieving some of your own personal goals whether it’s to make new friends, help a good cause or get fit. From sponsored walks, to mud runs, 5 km runs to cycling challenges, bake offs, nights out and more. Friends of MSF got themselves involved in all sorts of fundraisers last year.
Get in touch with us if you are considering doing or setting up a sponsored event and we can help you promote it and offer support.
Help make a positive difference to your local community. You may be able to offer your expertise and experience as an asset to the charity by joining the voluntary board of Trustees. The Trustees govern the charity and make decisions about finances, the business direction and the management of the charity. We have a Trustees application pack which you can download, or if you would like to discuss the role of trustee you can call the office and we can arrange a conversation with Chair of Trustees, Helen Attree.
We take volunteers as well as paid staff on to our bank Playwork team through our safer recruitment procedures. To volunteer at our clubs you will need to be over 18 and be able to demonstrate your suitability for and commitment to working with children with disabilities.
