A unique charity concert is set to take place in Malvern at the weekend to celebrate the beauty of Autumn. The musical fundraiser is being held to raise money for Malvern Special Families as part of the charity’s 30th year celebrations.
The charity event entitled ‘Landscapes and Harvest’ takes place on Saturday 7th October at 7.30pm at St Peter’s Church, Cowleigh Bank in Malvern. Local a capella vocal group ‘Serenata’ presents the evening of music and readings celebrating autumn’s bounty.
The lively and light-hearted concert offers a range of music from traditional folk songs to the Beatles and includes works by local composers Liz Johnson and Alec Roth.
Sarah Musgrave, Malvern Special Families Trustee said: “Please join us for a fantastic evening of entertainment and help raise us raise money for a really good cause. It would be brilliant to see lots of people from the local community come along and support Malvern Special Families.”
Bella Johnson, a member of Serenata group added: “We always enjoy putting on concerts, especially when we can help to support local charities like Malvern Special Families which provides excellent play schemes for local children with disabilities. Our audiences can look forward to a very welcoming atmosphere and some choice entertainment including timeless favourites.”
